Venetian Waterway Park Celebration!

Venice Area Beautification, Inc. was the host for the recent celebration highlighting the completion of the last segment
of the Venetian Waterway Park as well as the improvements to Caspersen Beach.

The celebration took place in the morning of May 4th. There was a brief dedication ceremony with Commissioners Robinson and Thaxton attending, and Venice Mayor John Holic spoke about the role the Venetian Waterway Park plays in the local community.

John McCarthy presented a history of the Venetian Waterway Park, and Caspersen Beach. Greg Vine moderated the program and discussed the progress of the Ribbons of Venice VABI initiative.

There was a display of photos and memorabilia reflecting the history of the VWP at the VABI Booth.

All of the organizations and individuals who played a part in the development of the Venetian Waterway Park were
celebrated as well for their contributions.
