Venice MainStreet’s 2010 Beautification Award goes to VABI
(Venice, Florida) Venice MainStreet recently announced that Venice Area Beautification, Inc. (VABI) is this years’ recipient of their Beautification Award. VABI was selected for their work in revitalizing and upgrading John Nolan Park on the island of Venice. Throughout November, VABI volunteers planted trees, improved and paved the walkway, accessible curb cuts, added a grill and new picnic tables; one of which is ADA handicap accessible. To round out the new look, a concrete orb was donated by a dedicated local citizen. John Nolan Park is located west of Harbour Drive, between Menendez and Palmetto streets.
