Le Tour de Venice is not a race! Bikers and walkers will have two hours to complete the course. Take your time, pause at the water and card stops and enjoy the beauty of the area. Registration begins at 8:30 am, and the event ends at 11:30 am. Prizes will be awarded at that time!

There will be four routes available, two for players on bicycles, one for players on foot and a trolley ride. Each route will have 5 stops. Players on bicycles should not play the pedestrian route due to safety issues.

All players must register to participate. Registration will be held at the Venetian Waterway Park Trailhead office of Venice Area Beautification, Inc. Cost to participate is $30. This fee includes one five card poker hand, membership as a VABI enthusiast, and a free t-shirt for the first 100 registrants. Additional hands are $10 each.

Participants must go to all 5 stops on the poker run course. Your poker playing card will be stamped at each stop to ensure that you have completed the course.

At each stop, you must hand the participation card to the official, then reach your hand into the poker card bag and draw out a card. The official will stamp the appropriate space on your game card. To ensure fairness, you will always draw from a full deck of 52 cards. If you happen to draw a card that you already have in your hand, you simply replace that card and draw a new one. Once the game card is marked, you may continue on to the next stop.

When you have gone to all five stops and completed your five card hand, you are ready to return to the trailhead and match your hand against all the others for the chance to win some terrific prizes! If you have to miss a stop due to the deadline, you may draw that card at the trailhead check-in station. You may also purchase up to five bonus cards for a cost of $5 each to get a better hand. You choose your five best cards and then declare your hand at the check-in station. After declaring which 5 cards you wish to keep, you will take your card back to the registration table to turn in for judging. All cards must be turned in by 11:30 am.

The judges will determine the winning hand. In the event of a tie, players will be dealt 5 new cards. The highest hand wins. All scoring by the judges are final.
